New Postgraduate Students Induction Activities The University’s induction activities for new postgraduate students will start on Monday, 26 September 2011 in Aberystwyth. The Student Welcome and Induction Programme is arranged by the Postgraduate Studies Office who will provide details on events including times and locations. Your department may also arrange additional activities and will advise you. Before you can register, you must have completed the admissions process. If you are unsure about the status of your application or have any questions, please contact the Postgraduate Admissions Office prior to Registration. Returning Postgraduate Students Full-time Taught Masters students will have registered for the entire course at the beginning of their first year and will not be required to register in subsequent years. Part-time Taught Masters students will register in person at the Visualisation Centre, Penglais Campus, along with new students. The dates of registration are Tuesday 27th September and Wednesday 28th September 2011. (See schedule by department below) Full-time research students will register online from a University workstation. Details of how and when to register online will be distributed. Part-time research students will register by post. A registration form with instructions will be sent by post in early September.

You must complete the registration process each year of your registration period. The length of your registration period depends on your programme. Registering will allow you access to the University's computing and library facilities. As a registered student of the University, you agree to abide by the Rules and Regulations of the University which will be provided to you on the day of registration. Information for postgraduate students can be found on the Academic Office website at http://www.aber.ac.uk/academicoffice/postgraduate/index.shtml Changes to your registration and student record If after registering, you wish to change a module, your mode of study, study scheme, supervisor or subject of research you must complete a Postgraduate Change of Registration form which can be obtained from your department or from the Academic Office website. You must first discuss any such changes with your department. You are responsible for the accuracy of your personal information including keeping your address information current. You can make changes directly to your student record (including your address) through your online student record. https://studentrecord.aber.ac.uk/en/.
