Taught Master's Results
Students are informed of their marks via their student record on the web after the approval of the Faculty Examining Board.
Part One
students are informed of their marks and whether they can proceed to the
dissertation via their student record on the web after they have been
confirmed by a Faculty Examining Board. Students who do not wish to
proceed to Part Two (the dissertation) but would like to exit with a
Diploma should consult with their department and then complete
and return a ‘Notification of Intention to Exit with a Diploma Form’
available
here. Students
who wish to exit with a Certificate should consult their Department in
writing requesting an exit Certificate. The Progression Rules for taught Master's students are available here. A failed module can be resat for the pass mark of 50. Students must contact the Academic Office pgsstaff@aber.ac.uk to register for resits after taking advice from their departments.
Please note that your dissertation should be submitted to the Department with a Gold Certificate (stating that you have paid all necessary fees and have no outstanding debts) and Notice of Candidature Form. These are essential for the processing of your result. For further information see the Submission Documents for Taught Master's Dissertations which are available from Departmental Offices and from the Academic Office pgsstaff@aber.ac.uk .
After your
dissertation has been marked, the Result and Report Form is processed by
the Academic Office. You will be sent a transcript of your dissertation
mark to the address you provided on your Notice of Candidature Form
(included in your submission documents). Academic Office will
automatically update your home address according to the details you give
on your Candidature Form, however if in the meantime if your address
changes you should email
pgsstaff@aber.ac.uk
and the
graduation.office@aber.ac.uk
. If you need to re-submit your dissertation you should do so within
one year of the date on the letter. New submission documents must
be completed. A re-submission fee must also be paid before you
re-submit.
