•   Dr Iolo ap Gwynn
  Now retired, but maintaing links with the laboratory. Main field of interest is electron microscopy and its application to various fields of biological research. These currently include cell adhesion, articular cartilage and interaction of biomaterials with cells. Very close collaborative work is carried out with a number of laboratories, most particularly the AO Research Institute in Davos, Switzerland.
•   Dr Glyn Jenkins
  Main field of interest is the study of meiotic chromosomes of grasses. This has meant using techniques of confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) as well as transmission electron microscopy.
•   Dr Steven Wade
  Steven is in charge of the everyday running of the UWBL. He has considerable experience in applying a wide range of techniques to the study of biological tissues. Before being appointed to his present post he was involved in a four year study of the ultrastructure of articular cartilage, for which he awarded his PhD...
