Brief description

The phrase, "Electronic Publishing", can be understood in several ways. For this module, we define it as the development, creation, management and making available via the Internet of information-based resources. We examine what is meant by electronic publishing and the means by which it can be successfully achieved, before moving on to the actual development of Web pages. It will show the need for quality in, and evaluation of, electronic resources and then go on to explain how to produce and maintain good-quality Internet resources. Resources under this heading might include library Web sites, electronic journals, bibliographies, teaching or training materials, or texts (e.g. reports or conference proceedings).
