On successful completion of this module students should be able to:

*Apply the methods required to answer straightforward problems in Physics

Brief description

Mathematical problem solving is a fundamental skill in Physics that is also highly valued in the work place. This module is aimed at enabling students to apply the mathematical techniques requierd to solve physical problems. Provision will be through lectures, weekly workshops and example sheets.

Polynominal arithmetic, algebra, equations, partial fractions, trigonometry, Binominal series, differentiation, integration, functions.
