Critically analyse and discuss content related to associated theory of innovation commercialization

Critically evaluate and discuss the mechanisms of creativity and the creative process for purposes of innovation;

Critically evaluate and make informed decisions related to innovation and entrepreneurship opportunities;

Critically appraise and discuss theory related to finance, governance, management, leadership, policy and ethics of innovation and entrepreneurship

Critically evaluate and discuss the interdisciplinary theory related to innovation and entrepreneurship

Understand the role of innovation and entrepreneur networks and clusters

Module Skills

Skills Type Skills details
Application of Number Through the quantitative areas integrated throughout the entire module. Particularly the use and analysis of data which may identify opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Communication Oral communication will be developed through class participation and group work in class. Written communication will be developed through case preparation, assessment preparation, note taking and information based discussions. Assessed in the report.
Improving own Learning and Performance Through both class and self-directed learning.
Information Technology Basic of data analysis will be done using software as well as finding and processing secondary information. Also the use of the basic Microsoft packages related to business and management. Assessed in the report.
Personal Development and Career planning Development of skills, theory and analysis capabilities to allow effective management decisions related to innovation and entrepreneurship.
Problem solving Identification of the relevant information for decisions and formulation of decisions related to innovation and entrepreneurship. Also, the creative process is linked to problem solving.
Research skills Qualitative methods, analysis of secondary data for business decision and opportunity discovery. Assessed in the report.
