Evaluate the scientific methods used in animal nutrition research

Discuss the ecology of the rumen and the methods used to modify it

Critically evaluate the methods used to modify the characteristics of meat and milk

Discuss the digestion and metabolism of nutrients in animals

Brief description

This module will discuss recent developments in the nutrition of livestock animals. This module will draw upon some of the ongoing research in animal nutrition in IBERS and will present this in an accessible format to MSc students following the livestock and animal science routes.
