Gary Reed yw pennaeth y Swyddfa Ymchwil ym Mhrifysgol Aberystwyth. Mae’n rheoli tîm o 11 o bobl yn cwmpasu cymorth ymchwil i’r Cyfadrannau, Uned Cyllid Ewropeaidd, Monitro REF ac Ymchwil, a rheoli prosiectau ymchwil mawr dwys - Gary yw:

Mae Gary yn atebol i’r Dirprwy Is-Ganghellor dros Ymchwil ac mae’n gweithio gyda Deoniaid y Cyfadrannau i weithredu Strategaeth Ymchwil y Prifysgolion drwy gydweithio’n agos ag adrannau academaidd ac adrannau gwasanaeth eraill. Gary yw Cadeirydd 2011-12 Rhwydwaith Swyddogion Cyswllt Swyddfa Ymchwil Cymru (WROLOS) ac ef yw Cynrychiolydd Aberystwyth ar Grŵp Gweithrediadau Grŵp Prifysgolion Dydd Gŵyl Dewi (Aberystwyth, Bangor, Caerdydd, Morgannwg ac Abertawe).

Cyn hyn, roedd Gary yn Academydd Rheolaeth yn Ysgol Fusnes Prifysgol Loughborough a hefyd yn dal swydd Cyfarwyddwr Ymchwil y Ganolfan Rheolaeth Fodurol. Hefyd mae Gary yn athro ysgol uwchradd cymwysedig a chyn hynny bu’n gweithio ym maes gwerthu a rheoli gwerthiant yn y diwydiant telegyfathrebu gyda chleientiaid o’r radd flaenaf.
