Robert Peston is the BBC’s Economics Editor and was made a University Fellow in 2011. He recently visited the University to present a public lecture, and gave the following insights into why he loves Aber.
Ambassador Richard Butler
Ambassador Butler has held numerous senior Australian posts, including Deputy Representative at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the OECD; Ambassador for Disarmament (Geneva); Ambassador to Thailand and Cambodia; Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations (New York); and Governor of Tasmania. In 1997, Secretary General Kofi Annan appointed him Executive Chairman of the United Nations Special Commission to disarm Iraq (UNSCOM).
He recently visited Aberystwyth and gave the Department of International Politics the following endorsement.
