Developing Future Leaders at Gregynog

03 February 2016

Once again a good time was had by all those third year students and postgraduates who attended the leadership course at Gregynog (21st and 22nd of January 2016). Designed and led by Professor Andy Henley, this course gave students the opportunity to try out practical leadership techniques in a fun and supportive environment.

In true SMB fashion some games contained a competitive element, with students competing for IMLIS pounds, while others were designed to develop trust. Highlights included the self-assembly game where ‘Team Wyn’ emerged victorious with their version of Shakespeare’s Garden Table. Surprisingly, this invention remained standing long enough for the judging to take place.

The talk by entrepreneur Jo Edwards, Owner and Managing Director of Aballu Chocolatiers was also a great success, as was the dinner and bar quiz. Overall, ‘Team Wyn’ and ‘Team Andy’ collected the most IMLIS pounds and were, of course, dutifully rewarded.
