Tourism Management students complete bedstock survey of Ceredigion and Powys

07 March 2016

Tourism management students carried out research on the 1st and 2nd of March which involved telephoning a large number of accommodation providers in Ceredigion and Powys to get an accurate picture of bed spaces, workforce and seasonality. This was part of a survey of over 2000 accommodation businesses in the two counties, and allows the councils and Visit Wales to accurately plan for the needs of the tourism industry. Student Rachael Caldwell said “most of the businesses were really friendly and wanted to know as much about me and my studies in tourism as I did about their business!”.
