We generally hold at least one study school a year in April. The programmes are always themed around current topics of the day that relate to our LLMs. We give you a wide range of interactive lectures during the study school. We encourage you to participate and use your professional experience and academic knowledge to contribute to the discussion. New and returning students are also offered training in the use of the University's electronic resources and the on-line learning and teaching facility (Blackboard) as well as legal research skills. Most importantly the study school offers you an ideal opportunity to meet the distance learning team, your personal tutor and your fellow students. It also provides you with the perfect opportunity to seek individual guidance on your coursework or any other problems you may be experiencing.
Attendance at study schools is highly recommended but is not compulsory. Students pay for their travel, accommodation and meals; however, all lectures, seminars and tutorials are free of charge.
