Congratulations to MA (FIne Art) students Rebecca Backshall and Megan Hall who have been selected for the annual 'MA & Other Post Graduates contemporary art show' at the Atkinson Gallery, Millfield. Competition for entry is extremely competitive with the gallery selecting work from art schools and universities from across the UK. Since our first involvement with the exhibition in 2007, the School of Art has had postgraduate students selected every year.

"Proudly maintaining its ethos of promoting the next generation of artists, the Atkinson Gallery presents the annual MA & Other Post Graduates contemporary art show – now in its 16th year. Showcasing the work of students who express particularly fresh, innovative ideas, the exhibition reflects the talent and wide range of work being produced in art schools today, and is never shy of prompting debate.

MA & Other Post Graduate artists have been selected from 12 of the top art universities around the country, and invited to exhibit their work at the Gallery. A celebration of contemporary art, the exhibition provides the public with a unique opportunity to see current work in painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and film."
