Launching 'Cyfres y Fflam' at Parc y Scarlets

On Wednesday, 11th of July, CAA launched a series of books for secondary schools – Cyfres y Fflam –  at Parc y Scarlets, Llanelli. Catrin Stevens and Tudur Dylan Jones, two of the series' authors, and Dafydd Jones, the retired Scarlets and Wales rugby player, took part in the event that was attended by year 7 pupils from Ysgol Gyfun Maes yr Yrfa.


 

Celebrating the work of Welsh publishers - an award for CAA

The publishers of Wales came together in Aberystwyth on March 15th to attend a special event in which the Publishing Trade Awards were presented. During the ceremony, the award for children’s bestseller in the Welsh-language books’ section was presented to CAA. The book that got them this award was Patagonia, by Sioned V. Hughes.

Welsh adaptations of the ‘The Mole Sisters’ series

One of the 'Nansi a Nel' titles Catrin Elan, a student from Aberystwyth University’s Welsh Department who came to CAA on work experience, had the opportunity to adapt ten of the little Mole Sisters books to Welsh. They were published a week before she graduated from the University.
