Sue Evans
Student Employability Manager

Sue manages, facilitates and implements the front-line services of the department to all students and graduates of the University.  She also organises and provides careers advice and information to students and graduates.  In addition she monitors budget lines and departmental finances on an on-going basis.

Carys Mleczek

Employer Engagement Team

Gwen Adams
Employability Manager

Gwen has overall responsibility for the employer engagement work undertaken by the Careers Service, designed to inform, encourage and support the development of self-awareness, employability and career-planning skills. Her role involves overseeing employer liaison work to negotiate and provide quality work experience opportunities and participation in on-campus events, and the coordination of AberForward, a unique programme of employability initiatives combining training and a work placement, all with the clear aim of helping Aberystwyth University students and graduates to feel confident and ready to meet the challenges of the graduate job market.

Ben Jones
Placement Officer

Ben is the Placement officer, responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with local companies, organisations and institutions and sourcing mutually-beneficial placement opportunities for our students.  He plays a crucial role in planning and preparing for all the AberForward suite of opportunities and for developing work experience opportunities in a range of media for students of all subject areas.

GO Wales Strategic Manager

Lewis is the Strategic Manager for GO Wales: Achieve through Work Experience(AtWE). Lewis oversees this programme of support and tailored opportunities for young students facing barriers to work experience. The AtWE project is supported by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government.
