Responsibilities

Lewis runs the Knowledge Economy Skills Scholarships (KESS) programme at Aberystwyth University. Benefiting from European Social Funds (ESF), KESS supports collaborative research projects (Research Masters and PhD) with businesses based in the Convergence area of Wales (West Wales and the Valleys).

Biography

Before joining CCS, Lewis managed the GO Wales placements scheme as a member of the Careers Service at Aberystwyth University. This involved working closely with businesses across Mid Wales to find suitable students and graduates for paid placements.

After graduating from Aberystwyth University with a degree in English Literature, Lewis went to Japan to teach English. From Japan, he moved to Thailand, where he worked in print and online media before taking on the role of Programmes Director for Omni Training Solutions.

Upon returning to the UK, Lewis worked as Training Manager for YMCA Training in Welwyn Garden City before returning to Aberystwyth.
