Open Door Session

Open Door Session

This session forms part of a module called 'Museum and Gallery Education and Interpretation'. The student cohort draws form undergraduates and Lifelong Learning students who wish to develop a schema of learning to support Artist Residencies or Education Programmes in Galleries, Public venues or Museums. The assessment of this module has a vocational bias; students create educational programmes from a chosen curriculum for a target audience. These sessions deal with planning and delivering workshops. This is a Lifelong Learning employability module.

The workshop will focus on creating student teams to devise learning activities and understand the need for learning outcomes. It will focus on the timing of sessions and takes a constructive approach to learning.

The following session will look at using 'Voice and Presence' in your teaching environment. Activities will look at the power of the voice and strategies for leaders to control the dynamic of your learning environment. You are welcome to attend on one or both sessions. This module starts in the Autumn Term.
