Teaching Interventions Database
An online digital resource to support teaching staff and staff undertaking the PGCTHE qualification has been developed by the Centre for the Development of Staff and Academic Practice. Over 300 examples of teaching interventions have been uploaded to Aberystwyth University’s online repository CADAIR.
The development of the Teaching Intervention Projects collection was enabled by the awarding of a Learning and Teaching Enhancement Fund. The project also employed a recent graduate of IBERS, Simon Cameron, on a six weeks GO Wales Summer placement scheme.
The project digitised the teaching intervention projects which form a central component of the portfolio submitted by candidates on the Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education since 2002.
The themes covered in the teaching interventions range from the use of technology in lecture delivery to the encouragement of deep and active learning, and may also prove useful to members of staff interested in continually enhancing their teaching.
The resource is available online at: http://cadair.aber.ac.uk/ under the Education and Lifelong Learning section; or click on the Cadair image above.
