Closing Date For Undergraduate Applications – 15 April

This year has been an exceptional year for applications. Such is the demand that Aberystwyth University has experienced a 14% increase in applications and successful applicants are accepting Aberystwyth as their first choice in greater numbers than ever before. Accordingly Aberystwyth University will not be in a position to consider any new UK/EU applications after 15 April. The University will not be offering places in UCAS ‘Extra’, nor will it be participating in 2010 Clearing.

Professor Aled Jones, the Pro Vice Chancellor with responsibility for recruitment said, “This has been a remarkable year. 2009 broke all records, but so far, 2010 has surpassed all previous landmarks in student recruitment. Levels of applications, acceptances of offers and those who are selecting the University as their first choice, are all up significantly on previous years”.

“This is testimony to the superb range of facilities available to students at Aberystwyth. Academic, sporting and cultural resources are excellent. We have engaged in a development plan to enhance and enlarge our campus which will result in further improvements in these facilities.”

“Aberystwyth University has achieved consistently high rankings in national surveys of student satisfaction. The recent extensive survey in the influential Times Higher Education Supplement indicated that Aberystwyth University offered teaching and learning of a quality offered by Cambridge, Oxford and St Andrews."
