I have worked in student administration and student support for over 10 years, starting in this line of work at The Centre for Alternative Technology as Short Residential Courses Co-ordinator, organising green building, sustainability and renewable technologies courses, supporting attending students and representing CAT at many events. I then moved to working on postgraduate programs and distance learning MSc's, gaining lots of experience in using online methods in ways to encourage good lines of communication and support, producing interactive course materials and setting up online practicals and seminar groups.

I joined Aberystwyth University to work in the Business School as a Postgraduate Assistant Administrator, since then I have covered many elements of academic administration and marketing activities, I continue enjoying to learn new techniques to work efficiently whilst retaining a professional and friendly level of support to both students and academics.

I am currently on sabbatical from the Business School, working as Exam Officer and Compliance Officer for Tier 4 students for IBERS which I hope will enable sharing of best practices across both admin teams and that I will learn some new tricks.
