Dr Jan Jaroslav Pinkava will be honoured by Aberystwyth University during the 2012 Graduation Ceremonies in July, as a University Fellow. The title of Fellow is awarded to honour distinguished people who have a close association with Aberystwyth University or who have made an outstanding contribution to professional or public life in Wales.

Aberystwyth University (Professor Reyer Zwiggelaar at the Department of Computer Science) has been awarded a £60,000 grant to fund an innovative research project aimed at improving how prostate cancer, the most common cancer in men, is diagnosed.

PhD Students at CompSci Receive Prestigious Award

Two PhD students with the Department of Computer Science, have been awarded the Best Student Paper Prize, as one of the two best paper awards at the 21st IEEE International conference on Fuzzy Systems (FUZZ-IEEE 2012).
