Mario Pablo Campoy Siller

Mario Pablo Campoy Siller obtained an MBA from Aber in 2010.

What do you remember most about your time at Aber?

The quality of life that I enjoyed in Aber as a postgraduate student. All things seem quite simple there and it provided a relaxed atmosphere in which to concentrate on my studies as well as enjoying the local social life.

What are you doing now career-wise and how has your Aberystwyth Degree helped?

Since I returned from Aber, I was asked to join a Real Estate Development company in Northern Mexico with its headquarters in Miami, Florida. I have also started up my own on-demand software company (www.clarensyst.com.mx) which helps SMEs enhance their capabilites in order to survive in the highly competitive market of Northern Mexico. The MBA course in Aber helped me to connect my previous technical background with current business skills and the knowledge needed to establish my own entrepreneurial venture.

What advice would you have for a student doing your course now?

My recommendation for anyone who is currently or considering doing the MBA programme in Aber is to keep their eyes and mind wide open - they should take this time to think about which path their future professional life is going to take. I would also encourage them to make connections and friendships with their peers in order to create a powerful network which might help in the future.
