Centenary Fundraising

Centenary Fund

Aber needs your support.  The history of the University has been built upon the generosity of ordinary Welsh men and women who contributed to the start-up costs and who, to a large extent, ensured its survival over its first fifteen years before any government funding was forthcoming. The department of Geography and Earth Sciences was given life by a starting donation from The Misses Davies along with strong support and committed donations across the board to put geography at Aberystwyth 'on the map'.

The Centenary Fund aims to raise £10,000 in order to award grants for student activities that will directly enhance their studies and advance the ambitions of the department. These activities will include Burseries for scholarships and travel, internships and placements, student innovation projects and society activities.
