Supporting Employability

Geography and Earth Sciences have an excellent record in preparing our students for the workplace, with over 91% of our recent graduates in work of further study within 6 months of graduating. Our alumni have an important role to play in supporting the employability of our students, by providing inspiration, advice and mentoring and by connecting students to the world of work.

There are a number of ways in which alumni can help to enhance the employability of current students:

By giving a talk to students about your profession or field of work

By hosting work placements for one or more Geography and Earth Science students

By mentoring students interested in following a career in your field

If you are interested in contributing to any of these activities, please complete the online alumni survey, or e-mail dgcstaff@aber.ac.uk

In addition, the University also runs an eMentoring scheme, details of which can be foud at - https://www.aber.ac.uk/en/careers/what-next/ementoring/
