Biography
I have been employed at Aberystwyth University since January 1990. Prior to 1990, I was Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering and Informatics, Leeds Metropolitan University (1986-1990), and Post-Doctoral Research Fellow, Department of Information Studies, University of Sheffield (1985-86). Before becoming a full-time academic, I worked originally as a health services librarian and subsequently as an academic librarian.
I enjoy several leisure activities such as walking (especially long distance footpaths), going to the cinema and theatre, eating out, keeping fit and choral singing. In 2008 I fulfilled a lifetime ambition to perform as a member of a professional orchestra. I have been known to perform at karaoke events - but only under severe duress!
