Biography
After graduating from the College of Commerce, Liverpool and the University College of North Wales, Bangor, I was appointed Divisional School's and Children’s Librarian, Huyton Divisional Library, Lancashire County Libraries. I later became Assistant Principal Librarian, Education and Youth Services Department, Metropolitan Borough of Knowsley, Merseyside.
In 1975, I joined the College of Librarianship Wales as a Senior Lecturer where I worked until its amalgamation with the University of Wales Aberystwyth in 1989. During that period, I was seconded to the Council for Educational Technology as Research Consultant for a period of one year. I was also seconded for three years to the Overseas Development Administration/British Council as a Consultant to establish the Department of Library and Information Studies at the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan.
