Biography

After gaining my NNEB, I spent a decade working in various roles in the caring profession educating the under 9s in Northampton. I then swapped the town for the country, and left my career to become a mature student here in Aberystwyth. I then spent the next seven years of my life as an undergraduate and postgraduate student in this department investigating ‘The use of the Internet by academics in the discipline of English within Wales’ for my PhD. A short-term contract as a Development Officer for the department, on the ‘NOF ICT Training for Public Librarians’ project, led me on to working in the Open Learning Unit until December 2008. I now teach a range of subjects as a Teaching Fellow.

In addition to being a self confessed chocoholic, I am a trained aerobics instructor, a keen potter and into being eco-friendly!
