Welcome to our New staff

We would like you to give a warm welcome to the following new staff.

  • Marietta Alker and Diane Logan who will be teaching textiles courses.
  • Iwan Dafis and Jacqueline Jeynes who will be teaching Art History
  • Tereska Shepherd who has stepped in to Moya Davern’s shoes for a year.
  • Robert McMahon will be teaching An Introduction to Evolutionary Biology.  During this course Rob will introduce a selection of basic biological concepts and combine his scientific expertise and broad teaching experience to explain how they can help understand living things; to quote T. Dobzhansky (1964: 449) ‘nothing in biology makes sense except in the light of evolution’.
  • Simon Tune will be teaching Introduction to Digital Photography and Wildlife Digital Photography in Aberystwyth and Llandysul.  These courses are offered on a weekly basis (3 hour sessions) allowing those unable to give up a whole weekend the opportunity to study and practice using the techniques taught to improve their photography.  Andy Davies will be teaching Wildlife Digital photography as a weekend intensive course at Stackpole National Trust.  His website will give you a flavour of his work: www.andydavies.info
  • Kate Hamilton and Martin Powdrill work with us to enable Permaculture courses to be offered throughout Wales and use their expertise in this area to develop follow on courses in the future.
  • Lisa Connaire, a multi-talented lady, will be teaching the core course Animal Diversity over 3 Saturdays in term 1 and will be using her experience in her current post as a crime scene investigator to teach Forensics – An Introduction.

Welcome to the team!
