Exchange Programme - United States

We know that the best way to learn is through first hand experience. That’s why we put a major emphasis on you having the opportunity to study in the United States during your American Studies degree. . During the second semester of the second year in a three year programme, all Single Honours students have the opportunity to attain their degree credits at an American university.  Often students remain in the United States for their summer vacation, and travel around the country.
You make a simple one-to-one swap with a student from an American university and you will enjoy the same rights and privileges as full-time students at the American institution. It’s an opportunity to experience American student life, and to study American culture.

Currently we have exchanges with universities in the states of Vermont, Pennsylvania, New York, Michigan, Georgia, Alabama, Utah, Colorado, and Oregon. These range from big state universities to smaller institutions. Staff here take the time to assess individual student needs and to ensure they go to the place that best suits them.
