Information Strategy Committee

 

Composition

  • Pro Vice-Chancellor (Chairman)
  • Registrar and Secretary - Chair of Information Governance Sub-Group
  • Director of Information Services
  • Senior Administrative Officers of the University as nominated by the Registrar and Secretary
  • Senior Information Services staff as nominated by the Director of Information Services
  • One member of the academic staff nominated by each of the three Faculties
  • Chair of the Business Information projects Sub-Group

Terms of Reference:

  1. To provide strategic direction to the management and use of information at an institutional level to enhance the University's financial and operational performance.
  2. To identify priorities and commission responses/action from its reporting committees or University departments on strategic information issues including: inforamtion security, business continuity, information system developments and archiving and records management.
  3. To consider reports form the committee's two sub groups, "Information Governance" and "Business Information Projects" and to consider relevant matters referred to it by other University committees;
  4. To advise and make recommendations to Finance and Strategy Committee as necessary on resources and funding issues relating to such activities.
