The Vice-Chancellor and Principal, or in his absence one of the Pro Vice-Chancellors or the Registrar and Secretary, shall, if possible after consultation with any two other members of the Senate, deal with matters of extreme urgency, subject to subsequent report for approval to the appropriate Standing Committee or to the Senate direct or to the Executive Committee of the Senate, whichever body meets first after the action referred to has been taken.
