The Vice-Chancellor and Principal shall preside at all meetings of the Senate, and in his absence the senior Pro Vice-Chancellor present shall preside. In the absence of the Vice-Chancellor and Principal and any Pro Vice-Chancellor, the members then present shall choose one of themselves (not being a student) to preside at that meeting (Statute 17(4)).
Secretary
The Registrar and Secretary shall be Secretary of the Senate and of its Committees and shall convene and keep the Minutes of all their meetings. Each member of the Senate on making a written request to the Registrar and Secretary shall be entitled to examine the Minutes file of the Senate.
