Rules of Debate

1. Notices of Motion must be given at the meeting of the Senate immediately preceding the meeting at which the said motion is to be considered. Notice of motion is required to amend the Standing Orders of the Senate, to rescind previous resolutions of the Senate and to initiate discussion of important matters of policy of which the Senate has not had notice.
