Rules and Regulations Committee

Composition:

A Pro Vice-Chancellor (Chair).

Deans of the Faculties of Arts, Science and Social Sciences or their representative.

One representative elected by each of the Faculties of Arts, Science and Social Sciences.

Director of Student Support Services.

A student representative.

Terms of reference:

To provide advice and make recommendations to Senate on the following and related matters:

• Rules and Regulations relating to students.
• Regulations for student scholarships, prizes, etc.
• Constitutional matters relating to the Guild of Students.
• Matters referred by Senate.

To be transferred to other committees:

To Academic Affairs Committee:

• Examination arrangements, including reports from the Superintendent of Examinations.
• Reports on complaints, appeals and committees of enquiry into allegations of unfair practice.

To Student Support Services Committee:

• Student pastoral matters.

To Research Degree Board

• Policy on Postgraduate Studentships.
