Responsible for the Postgraduate Skills Training Programme, including dealing with enrolments to workshops and all administration of the courses; involved in the implementation of the PDP process.

Postgraduate student registration and computer records (full-time and part-time students) including staff candidates; rules and regulations; examination results; submission deadlines; higher degree candidatures. Also responsible for the administration of the submission and examination of all Research Postgraduate Theses. Handling of queries regarding the submission of Postgraduate Theses and Dissertations. Responsible for issuing official documents confirming student status; academic and attendance record and for issuing Fee Clearance Certificates for postgraduate student submission (commonly known as ‘Gold Certificates’). 

Administrative and secretarial support for the Director of Postgraduate Studies, including (i) all administrative support for the ongoing administration of the institutional Research Training and Development Scheme and for the coordination and development of research training initiatives within the University and (ii) administrative support for the Research Training Board of Studies and (iii) administrative support for the Research Training Examination Board, including liaison with external examiner collation and dissemination of RT marks to participating academic Departments.

Registration, maintenance of computer records, and handling of queries on the regulations for distance learning postgraduate students; extensions to submission deadlines; responsible with Katerina Stivasari-Jones for administration of the Aberystwyth PG Research Studentship Competition. 

Admission of UK and other EU postgraduate and distance-learning students; postgraduate marketing and recruitment; responsible with Alan Macmillan for administration of the Aberystwyth PG Research Studentship Competition; administration of applications for studentships to research councils. Administration of APRS travel grants for all students. Verification and approval of degree certificates for matriculation of EU students. 

Admission of overseas (i.e.: non-EU) postgraduate students; postgraduate marketing and recruitment; administration of the Overseas Research Students Award Scheme (ORSAS) and the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme [CSSS]. Verification and approval of degree certificates for matriculation. Deals with all applications submitted through the medium of Welsh.
