Attendance and Registering for Graduation

In order to ensure you are able to attend the ceremony you need to complete the following processes:

1] confirm your attendance
2] reserve guest tickets
3] order your academic gown

1 Attendance

All students eligible to attend Graduation need to inform us whether or not they will be attending the ceremony by 31 May 2012. [Student Record Page].  This is done by completing the registration process on your Student Record page.
If you fail to register your attendance by 31 May you will not be permitted to attend a graduation ceremony this year.

2 Guest Tickets

Admission to the ceremony for all guests is by TICKET ONLY.  Graduands do not need a ticket.  Due to the volume of students graduating in each ceremony, along with the limited seating capacity of the Great Hall, we are only able to guarantee TWO GUEST TICKETS per student.  These will be allocated to you when you register on-line.

If you fail to register for your guest tickets by 31 May, we cannot guarantee your guests’ attendance at the ceremony.

If any additional tickets become available for the Ceremonies, these will be placed, on a first come, first served basis, on the on-line shop between 28th June and 3rd July.  Each student will be limited to TWO EXTRA GUEST TICKETS, information on how and when to reserve additional guest tickets will be made available to you in June.  If after the closing date extra tickets are still available, these will be allocated on the day following registration.

Please note: We advise against making expensive travel arrangements for guests on the expectation of extra tickets. These guests are welcome to enjoy the day with you, however if they do not have tickets for The Great Hall then they will not be admitted to the ceremony.

Ticket Collection:

All guest tickets will be available for collection at the student registration desk in the Performance Studio, Arts Centre after you have registered for your ceremony.

3 Academic Gown

Academic Gowns are ordered from J. Wippell & Co. Ltd (AU Degrees) and Ede and Ravenscroft (UW Degrees) and further details can be found at Robes.  Please ensure that you order the correct gown to match your choice of University degree, either Aberystwyth University or University of Wales.  Changes will not be allowed on the day.  Please note that it is University policy that you must order a gown in order to attend your ceremony.  Failure to order a gown will result in you being unable to attend your ceremony.
