After Exeter in 1983, Norwich in 1986, Chester in 1989, Leicester in 1992, Cardiff in 1995, Witham in 1998, Dublin in 2001, Gregynog in 2004, Lincoln in 2007, the 10th Anglo-American Seminar this year - 2010 - visits Durham.
The list of speakers is as follows: Dr Adrian Bell (Reading); Dr James Davis (Queen's, Belfast); Dr Jessica Dijkman (Utrecht University); Professor Marjorie McIntosh (University of Colorado); Dr Matthew Stevens (London); Dr Anne Sutton (London).
The topic of the Saturday afternoon symposium will be 'Women and the medieval economy'. Chair: Professor Maryanne Kowaleski (Fordham). Our panellists for the symposium will be: Professor Sandy Bardsley (Moravian); Professor Caroline Barron (London); Professor Judith Bennett (USC); Professor Jeremy Goldberg (York); Professor John Langdon (Alberta).
On the Sunday afternoon Professor Richard Britnell (Durham) will lead a tour of parts of the City
