Biography
Dr Owen Roberts, BA (York), MA (Wales) has published research on the history of health and the environment, particularly in the context of water resources. Recent articles include 'The Politics of Health and the origins of Liverpool's Lake Vyrnwy Water scheme', Welsh History Review 20 (2000), and 'Argyfwng Tryweryn a Gwleidyddiaeth yr Amgylchedd yng Nghymru' (The Tryweryn Crisis and Environmental Politics in Wales), in G. H. Jenkins (ed.), Cof Cenedl 16 (2001).
He has recently completed a PhD thesis on public health, ideas of disease and sanitary reform in late-Victorian Britain, concentrating on Swansea. He is also interested in many aspects of the social and political history of modern Wales.
