Composition of Appointing Panels
Preamble
- The compositions of the recruitment panels below should be adhered to. However, in exceptional circumstances, where this is not possible, approval should be sought from the Director of Human Resources to vary the panel membership.
- It may be necessary on occasions for the Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellors, Deans and Heads of Departments to nominate a colleague at an equivalent level or their deputy to take their place on the recruitment panel.
- Recruitment panels should consist of representatives of both genders. Where in exceptional circumstances this is not possible the agreement of the Director of Human Resources or nominee should be obtained.
