Equine Facilities

Lluest Equine Centre is a purpose built teaching facility situated on the Llanbadarn Campus. Facilities include:
- International-sized indoor riding arena - 60x30m, low-dust flooring, spectator seating for 250 people and car parking
- Outdoor school
- Cross-country course suitable for all levels of rider
- Horse walker and round pen
- Loose boxes and demonstration boxes
There are 33 stables available for DIY livery at the Equine Centre, 13 of which are top quality Lodden boxes. There are grazing paddocks within close proximity to the stables, all are well fenced and easily accessed.
BHS Training. In addition to the full-time undergraduate schemes available, the Centre is also a British Horse Society 'Where to Train' riding establishment. Students have the opportunity to work for BHS qualifications in Horse Care and Equitation from BHS Stage One to Full Instructor certificate.
NB. Frongoch Stables are no longer used for DIY livery.
Equine Events
Competitions are held roughly three weekends per month - for further information visit - Lluest Equine Centre Events. The guidelines include both detailed information about competitions, and also list the costs associated with hiring our International-sized indoor equine arena, and additional optional equine-related training, available to all AU students.
Equine Reproduction Colloquium
