New building developments at IBERS

The IBERS estate strategy is critical for the delivery of strategic aims of IBERS and has the following key objective: £25M will be invested over the next five years to focus IBERS activities on the two campuses at Penglais and Gogerddan.

Gogerddan Site

Gogerddan: Will be the location for the new phenomics facility. This will be the centrepiece of a new Institute for International Plant Breeding that will house a laboratory and accommodation for visiting academics. Gogerddan will also be the enterprise hub for the Agricultural, Food, Bio-renewables and Land-based Industries.
