Research

Breeding improved varieties of legume species, including white clover (Trifolium repens), red clover (T. pratense), lucerne (Medicago sativa), field beans (Vicia faba) and peas (Pisum sativum). Genomics of legume species and marker assisted selection. Introgression of novel traits from non-domesticated ecotypes.
