Responsibilities

Liz is Research Fund Development Manager within the IBERS Research and Strategic Funding Team. Liz’s responsibilities are to support science and administrative staff in the development of funding bids, in particular multi-disciplinary, cross-theme projects of strategic importance to IBERS.  A key part of this role is to help build internal and external relationships in order to maximise new business development opportunities.  Liz can also offer advice on  and assist with a range of matters relating to knowledge exchange and research impacts.

Biography

Liz came to Aberystwyth having spent two years in Perth, Western Australia, working on climate change policy for the State Government. She is a project manager with funding and programme development experience in the environmental sciences. Liz is well versed in most aspects of knowledge exchange having spent three years working at NERC developing and managing their portfolio of knowledge exchange funding programmes in collaboration with BBSRC, EPSRC and ESRC.  Previous roles also include programme development for an international environmental research and training NGO and co-ordinating the Plymouth Marine Sciences Partnership.
