Student Satisfaction
01 November 2011

Once again Aberystwyth University has performed brilliantly in this year’s National Student Survey results. Aberystwyth was awarded a score of 4.3 out of 5 for student satisfaction and was top in Wales for the seventh year running!
The National Student Survey (NSS) has been running annually since 2005. It is a survey of mostly final year undergraduates in the UK, with the main purpose to help inform the choices of prospective higher education students about where and what to study.
Once again IGES has achieved outstanding results in the 2011 National Student Survey. Overall, 98% of students in IGES are satisfied with their course – the highest satisfaction rating of any department in the university, and one of the four highest percentages for Geography departments across Britain. The mean overall satisfaction score of 4.7/5 in human geography is once again the highest score for any human geography course in Britain, and the mean score of 4.6 in physical geography and environmental science is the joint third highest score in Britain
