Thank you for considering IGES to further your education. IGES is one of the oldest and most respected Geography departments in the UK. We offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, with our undergraduate students being Britain's most satisfied Geography and Earth Sciences students (National Student Satisfaction Survey 2008).

The department also recently ranked 12th in the country in the 2008 RAE exercise with 20% of the research within the department classified as "world leading" and 65% as either "world-leading" or "internationally excellent".
