Scholarship in the Cultural and Historical Research Group

The SCHRG debates within areas of Mobility, Identity and Power, Time and Memory, Landscape, Geographies of Technology and Governance, and Critical Spatial Theory and more broadly within human geography.

Group members have examined these themes in a variety of contexts (Europe, North America and South America) and across a range of time scales. In addition, we have made strong links with the wider academic environments of cultural studies, social theory and history.

The group uses a wide variety of theoretical and methodological approaches to engage the above themes, often intersecting with work done in the New Political Geographies Research Group.
