During the recent science fair held in the Aberystwyth University’s Sports Cage, students from the Institute took part in demonstrating scientific and mathematical principals to over a thousand school children, including primary and secondary schools from all over the mid Wales area.

The Infinity exhibition and the Physics Buskers were busy over the three day period, and congratulations to the Physics buskers who were awarded a £200 prize for the most engaging display at the exhibition. The prize was to be awarded as vouchers for the individual team members but the buskers involved voted unanimously to donate the winnings to buying new and exciting equipment for the Busking kits!

Future exhibitions and demonstrations are being held, with Infinity attending the Urdd Eisteddfod at the beginning of June, and the Wrexham Science Festival on the 3rd July.
The Physics buskers will also be attending these two events, and will in addition be busking for a group of visiting schoolchildren from Aim Higher, a scheme encouraging children to apply for university, on the 29th of April.
