Research

His research involves remote sensing of the Moon by X-ray spectography. He is using data from C1XS - a British-made instrument on Chandrayaan-1, India's first lunar mission - as well as other instruments on missions such as Clementine and Lunar Prospector, to map elemental concentrations on the Moon.

Biography

Jimmy was born in London and raised in Runcorn. He completed a BSc in Physics with Planetary and Space Physics at University of Wales, Aberystwyth, graduating in 2007. After a year travelling he returned to the now University of Aberystwyth to start a PhD in planetary physics.

When he is not working on his Ph.D, he enjoys running science outreach activities with the Aberystwyth Physics Buskers.
