At Aberystwyth we make it possible for all international students to gain the English language level that they need to start their degree course.

Integrated Modular Courses

All of our International Pathways courses are integrated and modular, to give students the opportunity to progress at the best speed for them, in the company of students on other courses.

Students take the modules that they need to build up their credits for completing their programme.

All International Pathways students must show that their general English level is high enough before they can start on their academic subjects. You can do this by having an IELTS score of at least 5.0, or by taking an English language module.

Your Academic Studies

Aberystwyth has a wide range of degree programmes, at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Our International Pathways students have a unique opportunity to develop a close relationship with their academic department before they start their degree course, through the International Foundation and Pre-Masters lecture and tutorial programmes.

You are already an Aberystwyth Student

All of our International Pathways students are full students of the University. This means that you have full access to the accommodation, the libraries, computer facilities and sports facilities.

Support Networks for our students

As an Aberystwyth student you will have access to a strong network of support through your International English Centre tutors, through Student Support Services, and through your personal tutor when you have started your degree course.
