Self Access Listening & Speaking
Self Access language development
International students and EU students
Course materials are available in the Language Resource Centre to help you with pronunciation and intonation (speaking clearly), listening skills and other language development.
These materials give you the opportunity to work at your own pace.
- Listen, write, read or repeat to improve your pronunciation and understanding of individual sounds, words, and sentences.
- Practise your English intonation and the rhythm of your speech, making it easier for others to understand you.
- Learn how to listen so that you won't miss information in conversations, discussions and lectures and so that you will be able to cope when everyone is speaking at the same time, or when you are expected to listen, understand and write.
Access to the materials is available at most times (except when classes are scheduled) in the Language Resource Centre, Hugh Owen building. Using any PC in the Language Resource Centre, go to the Language Resource Centre website and select the International English Centre section.
